Now, backing up the million-selling Floyd Mayweather Jr. victory over Juan Manuel Marquez in September, Saturday night’s Pacquiao-Cotto fight in Nevada is positioned-well to surpass one million purchases.
For Pacman, it’s a shot at Mayweather. A win by Pacquiao and we might be looking at Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao at Yankke Stadium in 2010. Bob Arum and Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer will conspire to get Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather in the same ring together. It will ultimately all come down on how the purse money is split. If Pacman destroys Cotto, he’ll certainly be entitled to 50-percent or more. Regardless, it will be the biggest fight in years.
